In
late 2001 Kieren made these two commercials for the "Workwear You Can Trust" Campaign of the Australian clothes brand KingGee.
It aired nationwide
in Australia (including metro and regional stations) for about three or four weeks,
first in February 2002 then again in October for the same time span.
In
the advertisement, that was filmed in Sydney and directed by acclaimed film director
Ray Lawrence (Bliss, Lantana), Kieren plays "the electrician".
His co-stars were Diana Glenn as "the wife" as well as Christopher Tomkinson
as "the husband", though Tomkinson appears with only Diana Glenn in
a third spot.
KingGee
was founded in 1926 in Australia and has become one of Australia's most successful
brands. The name King Gee was derived from a colloquial expression relating to
the then reigning King George V. "King G" was simply Australian slang
for "the tops", the most" or "the greatest."
